Description

Union League American Legion Post 758 invites you to attend a complimentary screening of the documentary BRAVO!: Common Men, Uncommon Valor. Produced by filmmakers Ken & Betty Rodgers, BRAVO! tells the story of the legendary seventy-seven day Siege of Khe Sanh during the Vietnam War in early 1968.

The film features interviews with fifteen Marines of Bravo Company offering first-hand accounts of their experiences during this extraordinary battle. It reveals how these boys-turned-men withstood constant bombardment from the enemy and punishing living conditions to defend their position while battling their fears and suffering horrific casualties.

The event opens with registration at 5:00 p.m., followed by presentation of the two-hour film at 5:30. Complimentary snacks will be provided and a cash bar will be available for beverages of your choice. Following the screening, Ken & Betty Rodgers will offer additional commentary and will take questions from the audience; DVD copies of BRAVO! will be available for purchase. The program will adjourn by 8:00 p.m.

Although this program is offered on a complimentary basis, advance registration is required. PLEASE NOTE: the Union League Club of Chicago maintains a "business casual" dress code -- i.e., no jeans or denim. For more information, please call the Public Affairs office at (312) 435-5946.
